Shipping Information

At Fig Freak, we take pride in shipping healthy, fig and mulberry trees that arrive safely and ready to thrive. Every order is carefully prepared by hand using proven packaging methods designed specifically for live plants. We have over 15 years experience shipping live plants.

How We Package Our Fig Trees

Each fig tree is securely packaged to minimize movement and prevent damage during transit.

Our packaging process includes:

  • Securing the root system and container to reduce shifting
  • Using internal support sticks to prevent the plant from sliding upward inside the box and breaking branches
  • Carefully wrap pot to reduce soil spilling
  • Using appropriately sized shipping boxes to reduce stress during transport

We treat every tree as if we were shipping it to ourselves.

Shipping Schedule

Orders are typically shipped within 1–5 business days depending on weather conditions and shipping address. Distances farther away from Florida will only ship on Mondays.

Closer states to Florida will ship between Monday and Wednesday.

Tracking information will be emailed as soon as your order ships.

Weather & Seasonal Shipping

Because we ship live plants, weather conditions matter.

In cases of extreme heat, cold, or severe weather, we may delay shipment briefly to help ensure your fig tree arrives safely and in good condition.

Restricted Shipping Locations

Due to state agricultural regulations and inspection requirements, we currently do NOT ship to:

  • California
  • Arizona
  • Texas
  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Puerto Rico

Orders with shipping addresses to those states are prevented from placing an order.

Upon Arrival

Please unpack your fig tree as soon as possible after delivery.

Cut open the top and bottom of the shipping box. Use the support stick and push down. Pull the tree out from the bottom.

Some minor leaf drop or shipping stress is normal with live plants. Give your tree a few days to acclimate, provide adequate water and filtered sunlight, and it should recover quickly.

If your package arrives severely damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and include clear photos of:

  • The shipping box
  • Packaging materials
  • The plant itself

Shipping Live Plants

Live plants are perishable products and can behave differently depending on weather, transit time, and growing conditions. While we take every precaution to ensure safe delivery, proper care after arrival is essential to your plant’s success.
